The first-person tactical hero shooter,”valuing,” is slated to transition
to Unreal Engine 5 in July, according to
RIOT GAMES. This upgrade
from Unreal Engine 4 is part of a series of changes planned for the game
in the coming months, which includes the introduction of a replay system
in September.
“Valuing” has been powered by Unreal Engine 4 as its beta release in
2020, with RIOT GAMES
utilizing the engine for over a decade. The shift to Unreal engine 5 is
scheduled to coincide with patch 11.02 at the end of July, and
RIOT assures players that
it should not negatively impact gameplay.
The game’s overall aesthetics and user experience are expected to remain
consistent. RIOT anticipates
that the engine upgrade will led to improved framerate performance and
faster patch downloads. It remains to be seen what additional
capabilities this upgrade will unlock, particularly regarding potential
enhancements to character models and animations. Players who log in during
patch 11.02 will receive a special gun buddy as a commemorative item.
Replay System and Anti-Cheat Measures
The replay system should help players report cheating or bad player
behavior in Valuing.
the highly anticipated replay system is another notable upgrade on the
horizon for “Valuing.” it is scheduled to debut on PC with patch 11.06 in
September, followed by a console release later in the year. The replay
system will enable players to analyze their recent competitive matches,
and RIOT intends to
incorporate additional modes in the future.
The replay system is intended to assist players in reporting instances of
cheating or toxic behavior. RIOT
is also implementing multi-factor authentication to combat smurfing in
competitive modes, where highly ranked players use alternate accounts to
boost lower-ranked players. Additionally, players will soon have the
ability to report accounts that are abusing rank or matchmaking systems.
New Map and Competitive Adjustments
The upcoming 11.0 patch for “Valuing” will introduce a new map, which
will be immediately available in competitive mode. During the initial
two-week patch cycle, rank rating (RR) losses on this new map will be
reduced by 50 percent to allow players to familiarize themselves with the
new environment.
