STEP 2 – REWRITE & OPTIMISE

JAKARTA – Military air strikes by the United States on three Iranian nuclear facilities have sparked international concern. Iran has accused the U.S. of initiating a dangerous conflict.

The targeted facilities, namely Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, were reportedly struck by U.S. B-2 bombers deploying GBU-57A/B massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOP), each weighing 30,000 pounds and carrying 6,000 pounds of explosives, on Sunday, June 22.

following the strikes,US President Donald Trump addressed the nation, stating that the air strikes had completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities. He further threatened additional attacks if Tehran refused to pursue peace.

Attack to Nuclear Facilities Unforgivable

foreign Minister Araghchi considers the U.S. attack unforgivable. Araghchi stated that President Trump betrayed his own diplomacy and election promises.

“This is a violation that is outrageous, serious, and has never happened before the basic principles of the United Nations and International Law Charter,” Abbas Araghchi said in his speech in Istanbul at the OKI peak meeting, according to Aljazeera on Sunday.

Araghchi stated that the U.S. government that “likes to fight and violate the law” will be fully responsible for the dangerous consequences and to achieve effective implications of his aggression “.

“US military attacks on territorial integrity and national sovereignty of UN member states carried out in conspiracy with the regime (Israel) who committed genocide, have once again revealed the extent to which the United States hostility towards Iranian people seek peace,” he added.

When asked if there was still room for diplomacy after U.S.attacks, Araghchi said “not now”.

“The door to diplomacy must always be open, but now it is not the case,” said Iran’s Foreign Minister.”My country has been attacked, under aggression, and we must respond based on our legitimate right to defend ourselves.”

U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, he said, “is an unforgivable violation of international law”. Araghchi said Trump had betrayed not only Iran but also his own supporters as an inevitable result of U.S. attacks on Sunday.

“Even though President Trump was elected with a platform to end an expensive American involvement in the ‘eternal war’ in our world. He has betrayed not only Iran by abusing our commitment to diplomacy but also deceived his own voters,” Abbas Araghchi said.

When asked what are the conditions for Iran to return to the negotiating table after the U.S. attack, Araghchi said “irrelevant” to ask Iran to return to diplomacy. “We were in the middle of diplomacy. We were in the middle of talks with the United States when Israel detonated it,” he said.

“And once again, we were in the middle of the conversation and negotiations with Europeans (yang) occurred only two days ago in Geneva, when this time, America decided to blow it up.”

“So it is indeed not Iran, but the U.S. is betraying diplomacy. They betray the negotiations,” he said.

“I think they have proven that they are not people who are good at diplomating, and they only understand the language of threats and violence. And this is very unfortunate.”

Araghchi said that it was the obligation of “the whole international community” to stop U.S. threats to Iran, stressed that the nuclear program of his country remained fully peaceful.

“Iran did not make any mistakes. We did not understand why Iran had to be attacked because of fake accusations that Iran was looking for nuclear weapons,” he said, noting that the U.S.destroyed the previous nuclear agreement and disrupted the last round of the conversation with military attacks.

“The international community must condemn and prevent this,” Araghchi added.”If not, there will be no more international law left. he added that the Iranian people” united and solidarily with the government, and we stood firmly against all forms of aggression “.
