major General Andrii Hnatov,Chief of the General Staff in Kyiv,stated
that the targeted site was involved in the production of antennas for
Shahed kamikaze drones. These drones have been widely used in attacks
against Ukraine.

In a social media statement, Major General Hnatov announced: “On the night
of June 9, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of
Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck
the facilities of JSC “VNIIR-Progress” LLC “ABS Electro”, located in the
city of Cheboksary on the territory of the Chuvash Republic, Russia.”

Details on the Targeted Facility

According to Major General Hnatov, the targeted complex is a
“military-industrial complex enterprise that ensures the production of
adaptive Comet antennas, which are used in particular in Shahed strike
uavs, unified planning and correction modules (UMPK) for guided aerial
bombs (CAB), and other high-precision weapons.”
