The United States (US) government is considering the request of Ukraine to get the supply of Tomahawk long -distance missiles in an effort to fight the Russian invasion, which has been going on since 2022.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the US to sell Tomahawk missiles to European countries, which will then supply the weapons to Ukraine.

Consideration for sending US long -range missiles, as reported ReutersMonday (9/29/2025), delivered by US Vice President JD Vance in an interview with the program “Fox News Sunday“On Sunday (29/9) local time.

Vance said that President Donald Trump would take a “final decision” about whether to allow the agreement.

“We are of course considering a number of requests from European countries,” Vance said in the interview.

Tomahawk missiles made by US are known to have a range of 2,500 kilometers, and will be a valuable asset for Ukraine in fighting a series of russian missiles and drones that take place continuously.

Supporting such weapons will almost certainly be considered by Russia as an escalation in its war in Ukraine.

Trump previously rejected Ukraine’s request to use long -distance missiles, but lately he softened after feeling frustrated by the reluctance of Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peaceful agreement.

Vance, in an interview with the program “Fox News Sunday“, said the Russian invasion of Ukraine was somewhat stopped by a slightly recent territorial profit.

“We have been actively striving for peace since the beginning of the government, but Russia must realize and accept the reality. Many people are dying. They do not get much results,” he said.
