The Ukrainian head of state “has nothing until I agree,” the American president declared to the Politico website.

“So we’ll see what he has,” he added, while estimating: “I think it will go well with him. I think it will go well with [le président russe Vladimir] Putin,” with whom he plans to speak “soon.”

Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Florida on Sunday, where the American president is spending the end-of-year holidays at his Mar-a-Lago residence.

He wants to discuss with him the still pending question of the territories, as part of the negotiations to end the war with Russia.

The meeting will take place days after the Ukrainian president unveiled details of the new version of the US plan to end the conflict, which was reworked after talks with Ukraine.

This version was criticized by Moscow, which accused kyiv of wanting to “torpedo” the discussions.

This document provides for a freeze on the current front line without offering an immediate solution to the territorial claims of Russia, which occupies more than 19% of Ukraine.
