While an Indochine concert was broadcast this week on TMC, fans let it be known that they were very disappointed because of the production and the way in which the concert was adapted for television.
We will rarely see a success as resounding as that of Indochina since they released their album “Babylon Babylon“ : everything smiles on the group that makes break the records one after the other. Particularly with their tour, which sold more than 1.2 million tickets, unheard of for a French group. Even when one of their concerts is broadcast on TV, like the evening of March 4 on TMCthey break audience records. Unfortunately, everything did not go as planned and fans expressed their anger after the broadcast.
However, they were 700,000 people gathered in front of TMCWednesday evening, to attend the broadcast of the Indochina concert, announced several weeks ago. But on social networks, fans have no did not hesitate to share their disappointment, or even their anger, in particular because of the sound which was judged as “bad”with a very muffled effect. This is not the only criticism addressed to the channel, because the production was also judged “catastrophic” by several Internet users:
So many key moments poorly filmed: the lighting of the ceiling by Nicola’s gesture on “Salômbo”, the sublime images of “Swan Song” largely ignored by the camera, the throwing of confetti filmed from the back of the room so we don’t see much of the result…
Other Internet users point out the fact that there was too many shots of the audience and that prevented them from immersing themselves in the concertand that we thus missed a lot of strong moments of the scenography of Indochina. In addition, the concert took place simultaneously at the Accor Arena and was therefore broadcast on a “slight delay” of around forty minutes. If we add to that the two advertising pages, we understand that the spectators missed almost half an hour of the showwith 6 songs which were therefore not broadcast by TMC.
We can understand the fans’ criticisms, but on the other hand the broadcast of a concert almost live is something very rare on televisionand it is normal that there are small hiccups and that everything is not perfect. What matters is that some fans were able to attend the show from home, without paying anything, and that’s a great way to thank your audience for their support!
What can we say about this Indochina concert broadcast on @TMCtv
✅
– this band is incredible
– the lights are crazy
– we could see the atmosphere in the audience❌
– catastrophic achievement by TMC
– 30 minutes of the show were cut, it’s simply scandalous
– no sound
