The house that was swept away is known to belong to Kiki Nurpalah (27), a resident of Cipeusing Village, Cimerang Village. At the time of the incident, Kiki admitted that he was not at home because he was taking shelter at his uncle’s house which was not far from the location.
“The initial chronology of the incident was that I was not at home, I was at my uncle’s house here. Suddenly it started raining heavily, the water overflowed,” said Kiki as reported by detikJabar, Tuesday (30/12/2025).
Kiki had intended to return home to save valuables when the flash flood occurred on Sunday (28/12). However, this intention was not carried out because the current conditions were already dangerous.
Even though there were no casualties, the flash flood caused all of Kiki’s belongings to disappear in the current. Including Kiki’s pet chicken.
“As for goods, all the chickens were swept away. ID cards, clothes, everything was lost,” he said.
Now, Kiki only hopes that the house that was swept away, which was left by her parents, can be rebuilt.
