A Kansas City man is accused of carjacking and shooting a victim during a violent encounter late Friday, according to court records.Police said Dameion McBride asked the victim for a ride on Sept. 26.During the ride, McBride allegedly pulled a handgun, stole the victim’s wallet, fired shots that struck the victim in the leg and then drove away in the Corolla.Officers later found McBride in the victim’s vehicle and arrested him after a short foot chase, during which a Taser was used.Court documents said McBride was reaching toward his hoodie’s front pocket when they used the Taser. Police said McBride had a 9 mm handgun and ammunition in his pocket at the time of his arrest.The victim suffered minor injuries and later identified McBride in a photo lineup.Prosecutors charged McBride with armed criminal action, first-degree robbery and unlawful use of a firearm.
