This is the only municipal theater benefited in the Valparaíso region, financing that contributes to the continuity of the free site billboard, including exhibition activities in the room and in territories, workshops, specialized training, among other initiatives.

With the presence of the Seremi of the cultures, the arts and heritage of the Region of Valparaíso, Javier Esnaola, and the mayor of San Antonio and president of the Municipal Corporation of the Culture and Arts of San Antonio, Omar Vera, the signing of the agreement for the delivery of the resources of the Program of Collaborating Cultural Organizations, PAOCC 2025 was carried out.

Along with thanking the Ministry for enabling this allocation of resources, the mayor valued “the commitment and professionalism of the San Antonio Cultural Center, which allows you to capture resources from the Ministry of Cultures, for the development of different activities that are for the benefit of the community and in a completely free way.”

This program financially supports the sustainability of organizations dedicated to cultural intermediation, allowing the continuity of its activities. For the second time, the Municipal Corporation of the Culture and Arts of San Antonio, an entity that participates in the administration of the Cultural Center, receives this contribution, this year being the only agency benefited throughout the region, in the line of regional and municipal theaters.

“PAOCC has become a very relevant strategic line of the work carried out by the Ministry, and in this call aimed at regional and municipal theaters, resources were given to 17 theaters of the country, being the San Antonio Cultural Center the only one awarded in the Valparaíso region, in support of a work that we know has an impact at the communal level and also provincial,” said Seremi Javier Esnaola.

For the coordinator of the Cultural Center, Fernando Núñez, “there is an important work of the team of professionals and also a responsibility when executing the projects, which is important when awarding funds. This center has been characterized by generating spaces for the community through culture, in addition to optimizing the assigned resources and that they reach the community.”

There are 30 million pesos that will allow continuity to the free billboard of the Cultural Center, including exhibition activities in the room and in territories, workshops, specialized training, among other initiatives. Brenda Campos, in charge of the project area of the Barranquino enclosure, said that “shows of different disciplines are considered, in addition to enhancing a training line for school public and also in Chilean cinema.”
