The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) named Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq (FAR) as a suspect in an alleged corruption case for participating in a procurement project at the Pekalongan Regency Government. The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) revealed that Fadia was arguing that he did not understand the rules because he used to be a singer.
In this case, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Fadia is the beneficiary or beneficial owner of PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), which has received many outsourcing service procurement projects in the Pekalongan Regency Government. The Corruption Eradication Commission said the company was founded by Fadia’s husband and children.

The Corruption Eradication Commission said that PT RNB received outsourcing projects in 17 regional apparatus, three regional hospitals and one sub-district in 2025. Asep said that PT RNB received IDR 46 billion from the contract with the Pekalongan Regency Government during 2023-2026.
Here are the details:
– Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq IDR 5.5 billion;
– Fadia’s husband, Ashraff, IDR 1.1 billion;
– Director of PT RNB Rul Bayatun amounting to IDR 2.3 billion;
– Fadia’s son, Sabiq, IDR 4.6 billion;
– Fadia’s child, Mehnaz Na, amounting to IDR 2.5 billion;
– And a cash withdrawal of IDR 3 billion was made.
However, the other names so far still have the status of witnesses. The KPK has just named Fadia as a suspect. He was charged with Article 12 letter i and Article 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.
Uncover the Background of Dangdut Musicians
Fadia brought up his background as a dangdut musician. This is the reason he doesn’t understand bureaucracy.
“In the intensive examination carried out, FAR explained that he has a background as a musician, he is not a bureaucrat. This is what sister FAR said, so sister FAR does not understand the laws and governance of regional government,” said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, in a press conference at the KPK Building, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/3).
Asep said Fadia also argued that bureaucratic matters were handed over to the Pekalongan Regional Secretary. He said that Fadia admitted that she was more involved in ceremonial matters.

“FAR admitted that technical bureaucratic matters were handed over to the regional secretary (Sekda), while he carried out more ceremonial functions within Pekalongan Regency,” he said.
Fadia’s statements are contradictory
However, said Asep, Fadia’s statement actually contradicted the actual situation. He said Fadia was not someone who had just served as regent.
“FAR was a regent or state administrator for two terms and once served as Deputy Regent for the 2011-2016 period. So, FAR should understand the implementation of the principles of good governance in regional government,” he said.
For information, Fadia served as Deputy Regent of Pekalongan from 2011-2016. He then became Regent of Pekalongan in 2021. Fadia was re-elected in the 2024 Regional Election and was appointed as Regent of Pekalongan for the 2025-2030 period.
Ignore the Regional Secretary’s Advice
Fadia is said to have been reminded of the conflict of interest in procurement. This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary and other parties.
“The Regional Secretary and a number of other parties explained that they had repeatedly warned the Regent about the potential for a conflict of interest in this procurement,” said Asep.
Asep said Fadia ignored warnings from his subordinates. He still insists on using his family’s company to run procurement projects in the Pekalongan Regency Government.
“However, this practice is still carried out by the Regent,” he said.
Meanwhile, after a year of Fadia’s tenure, her children and husband founded a company called PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB). Fadia is the beneficiary or beneficial ownership (BO) of the company.
The company also contains Fadia’s successful team. He asked regional officials to win the company.
