“I will submit a candidacy,” said Seiler Graf when asked by Keystone-SDA. She is aware that she will not be the only one. The party congress will decide which two candidates the SP will send into the race. Seiler Graf ran for the first time in the 2023 elections, but did not make it to the government council at the time.
SP National Councilor Min Li Marti is also fundamentally attracted to the office, as she said when asked. Before running for office, she would first have to have discussions in private and political circles about whether running for office makes sense at this point in time.
SP National Councilor Céline Widmer is currently concentrating on her candidacy for Zurich city councilor. She therefore has no ambitions for the office.
