Prime Video Series Timeline: Episodes & Events

by Archynetys World Desk

With the second season of Falloutthe timeline of the series that adapts the famous Bethesda video games has become tangled. To the current plots of the three main characters (Lucy, the Ghoul and Maximus) are added those of those flashbacks that explain to us what happened in different eras of the past. A story that will become even more complex in the third season, whose filming was announced for spring, while Prime Video broadcasts its last episodes.

Given this, at CINEMANÍA we have done a review of the chronology of the seriesregardless of video games, starting with the years leading up to the nuclear disaster in the Great War, to the most recent events.

Year 2066 (war between China and the US):

This armed conflict between the United States and China began in the year 2066 and culminated in the Great War of 2077, with some famous battles such as the Battle of Anchorage, after the Asian country invaded Alaska. In this confrontation we saw the actor Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) with his famous armor, who fought against the enemy to defend his country, before disaster broke out.

Years 2074-2076 (construction of Vault-Tec shelters):

Still mired in international conflicts, but looking to the future, various companies, including Vault-Tec, were in charge of the construction of a series of shelters, of which we have progressively discovered secrets thanks to Howard. This is where we see many of the flashbacks from the second season, in which the protagonist meets Robert House and sees his marriage in danger due to his wife’s connection to the imminent apocalypse.

Year 2077 (apocalypse):

In the context of the Great War, the fall of the nuclear bomb caused numerous survivors to hide in the vaults, while all human, animal and plant life suffered the consequences of radiation, with millions of lives lost. The beginning of the series and one of the great axes on which it rotates, which also explains its retro character from the 50s in which microprocessors were never invented, since vacuum tubes or thermionic tubes were the ones that finally prevailed ahead of transistors.

Year 2142 (founding of Shady Sands):

Despite the major disaster, with a considerable decrease in the world’s population and the impact of many others by radiation, some areas soon survived the disaster and became prosperous again, finding water and food that were not contaminated. Here we find the origin of Shady Sands, founded by an inhabitant of Vault 15, which became a location in constant struggle due to attacks by looters and radscorpions. A place where Maximus (Aaron Moten) would grow up.

Year 2189 (the Republic of New California is created):

Although the RNC was at its lowest in its meeting with Lucy, the truth is that it was a federal republic made up of five contiguous states in southern California. A system that tried to preserve the values of the old world, such as democracy, personal freedom and laws. This group included leader Lee Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury), whom we saw before the war induce Cooper to assassinate Robert House and later lead the new world order.

Year 2277 (Shady Sands is bombed):

As history repeats itself, Shady Sands, converted into the capital of the New California Republic, was destroyed with bombs. Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) was in charge of pressing the button, the origin of one of the great conflicts of the series, after his daughter Lucy (Ella Purnell) discovered him in the present day and asked him to take responsibility. At that time, Maximus survived and was saved by the Brotherhood of Steel.

Year 2296 (present):

In the most recent events of the series, Lucy escaped from Vault 33 after learning of the evil events her father had participated in and the lies he lived by, while the Ghoul met her and they formed an alliance, as he wanted to find his own family and had known Hank for centuries. For his part, Maximus momentarily reunited with both, starting a romance with Lucy and a war between the brothers of the Brotherhood of Steel.
