According to the Phoenix Police Department, the officer was involved in a “critical incident” while investigating the initial traffic stop.
Authorities reported that a man was shot and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. As a precaution, the officer involved was also taken to a hospital for evaluation.
