The KPK continues to investigate the corruption case of road projects in the North Sumatra region (North Sumatra) which ensnared the Head of North Sumatra PUPR Topan Obaja Ginting. The KPK said the arrest operation (OTT) in Mandailing Natal was the entrance to the investigation of other corruption cases in North Sumatra.
“So this OTT is the initial door, not the last door,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday (4/7/2025).
Budi said the investigation of the corruption case of OTT results in Mandailing Natal continued. The KPK investigation team continues to explore the alleged corruption that occurred in other projects in North Sumatra.

“We are still open opportunities to continue to explore what projects are suspected to have corruption, including the roles of other parties, as well as related to the flow of money, which parties who then enjoy the flow of the results of the criminal acts of corruption.tracking“he said.
“This is still open to the possibility of developing yes,” said Budi.
He also explained that the deepening was also carried out to the upper level in the North Sumatra Province PUPR area. He said that all possibilities would continue to be traced by the KPK.
“All explored, including in the Provincial PUPR, it means that it is related to road projects in the province. While in PJN Region 1 North Sumatra means it is related to national road construction projects,” explained Budi.
“So that it is open to the possibility that the KPK will explore other parties who are suspected of knowing or playing a role in the construction of this alleged case of corruption,” he added.
Until now, the KPK is still searching in a number of places related to alleged corruption of the North Sumatra (North Sumatra) road project. The KPK said the search was still ongoing.
“Today the KPK is also still carrying out a series of search activities in several locations, of course the locations that are suspected, there are information or evidence needed by investigators to uncover this case. The search is still ongoing,” Budi said.
Budi has not revealed the location that is still being searched by the KPK. He only mentioned that there were a series of activities carried out.

– Rasuli Efendi Siregar (RES), Head of UPTD Gunung Tua, North Sumatra Province PUPR Office
– Heliyanto (HEL), PPK Satker PJN Region I North Sumatra
– M Akhun Pilang (KIR), Managing Director of PT DNG
– M Rayhan Dulasmi Pilang (Ray), Director of PT RN.
The KPK suspects that Typhoon has a fee of Rp. 8 billion from the private sector won in the road project worth Rp 231.8 billion. The KPK said that end and Rayhan had withdrawn Rp. 2 billion, which was allegedly distributed to officials who helped them get the project.
