A flock of orcus attacked a tourist boat in Portugal, resulting in sinking.
The boat sailed off the coast of the Fonte da Telha beach on Saturday, when the disaster took place. The video shows orkes chasing the boat before they start hitting it violently, causing panic on the passengers, while someone shouts “my God”, according to the Daily Mail.
The boat leaned toward one side before sinking. According to the National Maritime Authority, the sailboat belonged to the Nautic Squad club and transported five people.
A second boat, north of Kaskis, transported four people and needed help after meeting the same herd with ornament.
The nine passengers of the two vessels were rescued by tourist boats. Authorities confirmed that everyone was in good health and did not need medical help.
Bernardo Keiroz, director of Mercedes-Benz Oceanic Lounge, said his boat was on a dolphin observation excursion when they saw the four orcuses approaching. In the meantime, a towing was made to be frozen and the boat was sinking.
Since 2019, orchas have repeatedly attacked boats in the area, usually hitting the rudder. There were about 500 attacks between 2020 and 2023. No man was injured, but 20% of the vessels suffered damage and were lost enough.
