21. Daine Laurie

22. Luke Sommerton

Analysis: The man on everyone’s lips, Isaah Yeo, has been named on the extended bench. The Panthers skipper is eyeing a return from a shoulder injury. Yeo’s return would be a timely one for the Panthers, who need to win this game as the race for fourth spot heats up. After their loss to the Storm, the Panthers, in fifth spot, are now one point behind the Warriors who are fourth. With the Warriors taking on the lowly Titans on Saturday in a game they’re expected to win, the Panthers suddenly find themselves in a must-win scenario against the Raiders, if they want to keep their top four hopes alive. In what will be a tight contest between the premiers and the team on top of the table, Yeo may prove the difference if he does in fact play. Paul Alamoti has been named 18th man.

21. Daniel Suluka-Fifita

22. Marcelo Montoya

23. We are not tupoounua

Analysis: Back-rower Sitili Tupouniua (hamstring) and winger Marcelo Montoya (neck) have both been named on the extended bench. Both stars are eyeing returns from their respective injuries and Enari Tuala could be the man to drop out of the back line, allowing Montoya to return. Tuala really struggled marking Daniel Tupou last week. Tupou scored a hat-trick, and Tuala had trouble contesting kicks in the air, which produced two of Tupou’s tries. Canterbury will be hoping Tupouniua and Montoya can help them get back on track, after losing two of their last three. While the Bulldogs, in third spot, have a four-point buffer on the fourth-placed Warriors, a top four finish isn’t yet locked in, and their run home is difficult. It remains to be seen who could drop off the bench in the forwards to free up a spot for Tupouniua, but coach Cameron Ciraldo hinted at changes in the press conference after the loss to the Roosters.

Felise Kaufusi and Francis Molo both have served their respective bans and have been named in the front row, with Aublix Tawha shifting to the reserves alongside Ray Stone who has been named 18th man.

Analysis: Two returning stars for the Titans with Brian Kelly (concussion) and Jojo Fifita (ankle) named to re-join the backline. Phil Sami shifts to the wing and Beau Fermor reverts to the back row. Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been named to start at prop with Jaimin Jolliffe out for the season due to a PCL injury. Klese Haas has been named on the bench alongside Josh Patston.

21. Bnty spot

22. Kalani Going

23. Edward Kosi

Analysis: Kurt Capewell (concussion), Te Maire Martin (concussion) and Rocco Berry (shoulder) have all been named to return in a big boost for the Warriors. Taine Tuaupiki drops to 18th man with Berry returning, which sees Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad shift to his natural fullback position. Capewell slots into the back row, which sees Leka Halasima shift to the bench. The Warriors’ decision to relegate Halasima to the interchange seems like a strange one. He had four tackle breaks in the Warriors’ win over the Dragons last week, which was more than any other Warriors player. It’s a statistic that’s even more impressive given he was only on the field for 48 minutes. Halasima scored a brilliant match-winning try against the Knights back in Round 20. Only days ago, Tonga coach Kristian Woolf indicated that Halasima would be right in contention for selection in their squad for this year’s Pacific Cup. With everything seemingly going right for Halasima, coach Andrew Webster’s call to bench him is mysterious. Demetric Vaimauga will start at prop in the absence of Jackson Ford who has been handed a three-game ban.

20. Jock Madden

21. Va’a Semu

22. Luke Gale

Analysis: Forward Jack Gosiewski is out of the team with a shoulder injury, with Jaiyden Hunt coming into the starting team and Jesse Arthars joining the interchange. Coach Michael Maguire’s decision to include Arthars on the bench is a curious one. Over the course of Arthars’ NRL career, he’s either started games on the wing, in the centres or at fullback, which raises questions about how Maguire will use him. But he has come off the bench on four previous occasions as well, including on debut back in 2019. The last time he came off the bench was back in Round 2, 2023. So this is the first time Maguire has had him on the interchange. That’s the only change to the Broncos’ team that overcame the Dolphins.
