The National Bank of Peru announced that it is evaluating the incorporation of a new international operator to strengthen its credit card business and improve its competitiveness in the financial market.
The announcement was made on January 2 by the banking entity, which currently maintains a strategic alliance with Mastercard and seeks to expand its offering of financial products aimed at the public sector.
Piero Flores, assistant manager of Personal Banking at the bank, reported that Banco Nacional has more than 150,000 credit card holders nationwide. As indicated, the institution has been constantly strengthening the functionality, coverage and quality of its services.

Las National Bank of Peru credit cards They are aimed mainly at public sector workers and retirees who receive their income through the entity. These products can be requested at any of the bank’s branches nationwide.
Among the requirements are having a valid identification document, a debit card from the National Bank and proof of income as an active employee or State pensioner.
Regarding associated services, clients can make cash withdrawals through bank agents, with a maximum of 500 soles per transaction and an accumulated daily limit of 1,500 soles. It is also possible to make partial or total payments at agencies, through interbank transfers or through the Multired Virtual platform.


The bank also offers multi-channel customer service. Users can report lost or stolen cards, make inquiries and activate or deactivate functions such as online purchases, cash withdrawals or consumption abroad.
The entity pointed out that the introduction of new operators will allow it to expand benefits, strengthen the competitiveness of the product and offer a better financial service to its public sector clients.
