A suspect who wanted to collect cash from an injured party in the Mühlacker area for an alleged lucrative investment was arrested on November 6, 2025

According to the current status of the investigation, the injured party was contacted in September 2025 by an alleged entrepreneur who claimed to specialize in the analysis of stocks and cryptocurrency. The injured party subsequently transferred a total of five-figure sums to the previously unknown perpetrators in the mistaken belief that his money would be invested profitably. At midday on November 6th there was to be another handover of money in the Mühlacker area. In this context, an urgent suspect was arrested by the criminal police without resistance.

At the request of the Karlsruhe public prosecutor’s office – Pforzheim branch, the magistrate at the Pforzheim district court issued an arrest warrant on November 7, 2025 for attempted commercial gang theft and risk of escape and executed it. The 38-year-old, who is of Chinese nationality, has been in custody since then.

The investigations by the Pforzheim Criminal Police Office and the Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor’s Office – Pforzheim Branch are ongoing.
