Middle East Conflict: US Strikes & Iranian Ships – Latest Updates

by Archynetys World Desk

In the past few hours, Iran launched its second missile salvo that night at Israeli and American targets in the Middle East. Tehran described the strikes as the most massive since the beginning of the conflict.

Israel said its air defenses were ready to repel the attack and added that the missiles and drones from the first wave of attacks had either been shot down or had fallen in unpopulated areas. Saudi Arabia has destroyed two drones targeting an oil field.

Air distress sirens sounded in Bahrain. A drone struck a diplomatic building in Baghdad, but no one was injured. Israeli forces carried out new strikes against Iran and Lebanon. The US military says it has destroyed 16 Iranian mine-laying vessels near the Strait of Hormuz.

Amid fears that anti-government demonstrations could resume in Iran, Iran’s police chief warned that anyone involved in such demonstrations would be treated as an “enemy”.
