Once again, the Management Excellence Club has presented its Annual Management Awards with the collaboration of the Madrid City Council, Enaire and Sodexo. During the event, the eighth edition of the Good Management Practices Awards were presented. The event took place in the Caja de Música Auditorium of the Cibeles Palace in Madrid in the presence of nearly 300 attendees. In total they have been five award-winning projectsone per category:
Education: Grupo Sorolla Education, with practice Impact evaluation model of student awareness.
– University: Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, with the practice Digital optimization of document management academics through AI and automation.
– Health: Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital, with the practice Control center assisted by artificial intelligence.
– Great Organization: Madrid City Council, with practice InnovAcción in parking management.
– SME: Northern, with practice Conciliation that drives results: Norteña’s people strategy.
Along with them, the work of 10 other organizations has also been recognized, selected as finalists. They have been the following:
Health: Fundació Hospitaláries Sant Boi and Umivale Activa.
– University: TAI University School of Arts and Florida Universitària.
– Education: Joyfe School and Urkide Ikastetxea School.
– Great Organization: Avanza Spain and Barceló Hotel Group.
– SME: Capgemini Foundation and Mercagranada.
“With their work, all of them have generated a real impact on societyusing innovation to create better services for citizens. That is what we celebrate at this event,” commented Ángela Pérez Brunete, General Director of Transparency and Quality of the Madrid City Council during her welcome speech.
All good practices have been subjected to a comprehensive evaluation by a Technical Committee made up of expert evaluators in management. Subsequently, the multi-sector institutional jury, after various analyzes and reviews, determined the five winners.
Symphony for the management of the future
The meeting, which this year was held under the motto Symphony for the management of the future, has served to also honor 12 members of the Excellence in Management Club, former vice presidents and members of the general secretariat, for their work over the last decade: Juan Luis Martín Cuesta; Nerea Torres; Eduardo Rodríguez; Adolfo Ramírez; Sara Bieger; Fernando Riaño; Ignacio Eyries; Jacinto Cavestany; Mariola Martínez; Tomás Ramos; Juan Liquete and Miquel Romero i Grané.
On the other hand, the Awarded CEO 5.0 equally to Laura Urquizu and José María Álvarez-Pallete, two leaders of business leadership who exemplify excellent, innovative and sustainable management.
Furthermore, throughout the event there was a keynote presentation by Antonio Huertas Mejías, president and CEO of Mapfre and president of the Mapfre Foundation, who gave an original analogy between business management and LuxRosalía’s latest album. Taking advantage of the musical theme of the event, it has compiled many of the messages heard in each song, such as the learning that remains from
past experiences, the call to transformationthe need for commitment and earning the trust of those who accompany us, among other aspects.
