On February 27th, 2026 at around 8:30 p.m., a radio patrol crew received the order to go to the Stralsund Zoo area. A whistleblower reported that a male person was on the road at Grünhufer Bogen and was interfering with traffic. On site, the officers met a 24-year-old man who was already known to the police. He initially appeared upset, but was calmed down by the emergency services. According to previous findings, the man had been on the road for a short time without specifically endangering or hindering other road users. The man refused the officers’ offer of help. Since he was oriented to time and place, he was asked to leave the location. He complied with this request. The emergency services remained on site for a short time. No further police action was necessary.
