From rooftop cinemas to intimate venues to retro theaters, these cinemas have plenty of holiday cheer (and popcorn) this winter. So grab some snacks and make yourself comfortable; the film is about to start!


The iconic Prince Charles Cinema in London is screening an extensive collection of Christmas films over the holidays. In the run-up to Christmas almost every day in December The Muppet Christmas Carol shown. There is also a special selection of “Alt. Xmas” Movies – aka “holiday favorites that aren’t very festive.” These include films like Tokyo Godfathers, Batman Returns, Eyes Wide Shut and of course Die Hard.

This December, the Royal Albert Hall is offering fans of Macaulay Culkin two very special Christmas screenings of Home Alone. These concert screenings feature the iconic film music performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Crouch End Festival Chorus. This is perhaps the most magical way to see a Christmas film in London.

5. Christmas Pop-Up Cinema at Rivoli Ballroom

Throughout December, guests will have their turn „Tis the Season to Be Queer“ spoiled with a variety of Christmas film experiences.
