Kyiv & Ukraine Cities Under Russian Night Attack

The Russian army launched another air attack on Ukrainian cities on Tuesday night, writes the Reuters agency with reference to the Ukrainian authorities. In Kyiv, the strikes damaged high-rise residential buildings and educational facilities in the Dnipro district, Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the city’s military administration, said in a telegram.

The Russian army is also attacking Ukraine’s second largest city, Kharkiv, with ballistic missiles and drones. According to Reuters, this was stated by the mayor of the city, Ihor Terechov. Oleksandr Hanža, the head of the military administration of the region, informed about the strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk region via telegram.

Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the invaded country has been defending itself with Western help ever since. The Russian military repeatedly attacks civilian infrastructure and other non-military targets.

On Saturday, a meeting between Kirill Dmitriev, who is the envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the American delegation led by the special envoy of the US President, Steve Witkoff, took place in Miami. According to Witkoff, negotiations to achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine were productive and constructive.

According to Reuters, even President Donald Trump expressed optimism about the war on Monday. “I think we’re doing well with Ukraine and Russia. This is the first time I’ve ever said that. I think maybe we’ll get some good news,” the president told reporters in the Oval Office.
