“I have decided to appoint the young Daniella Cabello as the new Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, who will now assume the responsibility of promoting the development and promotion of the National Tourism System,” Rodríguez said in a message on Telegram.
Daniela Cabello was sanctioned by the United States last November, along with 20 other officials, for “supporting and executing measures of the Maduro regime.” considered undemocratic, especially due to the repression of civil society,” as detailed by Reuters.

Rodríguez reported on January 6, three days after Maduro’s capture, about the appointment of former president of the Central Bank Calixto Ortega as the new vice president of sectoral economics.
That same day he also dismissed Maduro’s head of Security, Major General Javier Marcano Tábata, and appointed in his place General Gustavo González López, as commander of the Presidential Honor Guard and head of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM).
Rodríguez was sworn in before the National Assembly (AN, Parliament), following an order from the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), after the capture of Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, during the US attacks on January 3.
