Speaking about the increase in oil prices, Trump stated that prices will decrease after the attacks on Iran end.
Trump said, “There’s so much oil and natural gas out there, but, you know, it’s a little clogged right now. Very soon that blockage will be cleared.” he said.
Stating that he is not worried about oil prices affecting the midterm elections, Trump said, “All I want is to ensure that Iran never becomes the tyrant power of the Middle East again.” he said.
Trump also stated that they are working on a plan with other countries to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz in the face of increases in oil prices.
Stating that he called on many countries to help ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz, Trump stated that several countries agreed to help.
Trump underlined that there is no clear information that Iran has laid mines in the Strait of Hormuz, and that they will conduct a very comprehensive scan of the strait.
Regarding the US Navy escorting ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said: “It is possible.” he replied.
“No one showed Mojtaba Khamenei“
Making evaluations about Iran’s new leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Trump said, “I don’t know whether he is alive or not. So far, no one has been able to show him.” he said.
Trump said, “(Mojtaba Khamenei) I heard that he is not alive. If he is alive, he should make a very smart move for his country and surrender.” he said.
Despite this, Trump still described the news of his death as “a rumor.”
Trump stated that there are “great candidate leaders” for the future of Iran, but he does not want to endanger them by naming them.
Sanctions against Russia will come into effect again
Speaking about the US temporarily allowing the purchase of Russian oil stranded at sea, Trump said, “I want oil for the world.” he said.
Emphasizing that the sanctions “will come into effect again as soon as the crisis is over,” Trump expressed his surprise that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy did not agree to an agreement.
Trump said, “Tell Zelensky to make a deal. (Russian President Vladimir) Putin is ready to make a deal. It is much more difficult to make an agreement with Zelensky.” he said.
Regarding the allegations that Russia is sharing intelligence with Iran, Trump said, “Maybe Russia is providing information, maybe it is not.” he said.
Trump also said, “We are also giving some information to Ukraine and trying to make peace between the two countries.” he said.
