President of the United States (US) Donald Trump claims Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire. He claimed that the ceasefire was valid six hours after the announcement was valid.

“Congratulations to all parties!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, while stating that the ceasefire would begin after the two countries completed the “last mission of their ongoing.”

“Officially, Iran will start a ceasefire first. In the 12th hour, Israel will follow the ceasefire. And in the 24th hour, the world will officially welcome the end of the 12-day war,” Trump said.

“Assuming everything goes according to plan, and I am sure it will be like that, I want to congratulate Israel and Iran for their resilience, courage, and intelligence to end what should be called ’12 -day war’,” Trump wrote.

Trump claimed that he managed to mediate this ceasefire agreement through a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday (23/06), according to Reuters report.

The Trump team also established communication with Iranian officials, quoting a senior White House official who was not named.

The official said that Israel was willing to carry out a ceasefire as long as Iran did not launch a new attack. Meanwhile, Iran is said to have given a positive signal to comply with the agreement.

US Vice President JD Vance, US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, and US special delegation Steve Witkoff is also said to be involved in direct or indirect communication with Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister: There is no Agreement in Cependies of Weapons

Even so, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, said on Tuesday (24/06) that there was no “agreement” related to a ceasefire, after Trump claimed this on social media.

“Until now, there is no ‘agreement’ regarding a ceasefire or termination of military operations,” Araghchi wrote on the X platform.

However, he stated that if Israel stopped his attack before 4 am Tehran time (7:30 WIB), Iran “did not intend to continue the response after that.”

Araghchi also said that the final decision regarding the termination of Iranian military operations would be decided later. In the upload aired a few minutes later, Araghchi said that Iran’s military operation “continued until the last minute, at 4 am.”

Israel is obedient

The Israeli government claims to have agreed to “bilateral ceasefire” with Iran. The Israeli government claims their military operations against Iran, called “Operation Rising Lion” have achieved “extraordinary success”.

“Last night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a cabinet meeting … to announce that Israel had achieved all Operation Rising Lion objectives and many other things,” the Israeli government said.

“In the Lion Rising Operation, the state of Israel achieved extraordinary historical achievements and placed itself equal to the power of the world. This is an extraordinary success for the people of Israel and its fighters who get rid of two existential threats to our country, and ensure the eternity of Israel,” the statement said.

It was also mentioned by Tel Aviv’s authority that: “Israel has eliminated direct and double existential threats – both in nuclear domains and in the realm of ballistic missiles.”

2 Iranian missiles darted during a ceasefire

Two missiles were fired from Iran on Tuesday (6/24) morning. Tehran’s missiles triggered the sound of sirens commemoration of air strikes that roared in the northern region of Israel.

“Two missiles were launched from Iran and were successfully intercepted,” said an Israeli military official, who declined to be named, as reported by AFP.

The Israeli military said local residents could leave a shelter about 15 minutes after the first warning was released. The Minister of Defense (Defense) Israel Katz has ordered a firm response to the violation of the ceasefire by Iran.

“I instructed the Israeli military to explicitly respond to the violation of the ceasefire by Iran by launching a strong attack on the target of the regime in the heart of Tehran,” Katz said in a statement, as reported AFP.
