US Sends Aircraft Carrier to Middle East
Previously it was reported, United States (US) President Donald Trump said a “large fleet” had been deployed near Iran, after the US military announced the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, along with its battle group, had arrived in the Middle East region.
Trump even said the deployment was bigger than the deployment of US military assets around Venezuela some time ago, which resulted in the overthrow and arrest of President Nicolas Maduro.
“We have a large fleet near Iran. Bigger than Venezuela,” Trump said in an interview with Axios media, as reported by The Times of Israel and TASS, Tuesday (27/1).
