Iran Reacts to Trump on Protest Executions | Al-Marsad News

Al-Marsad newspaper: Iran’s public prosecutor said on Friday that US President Donald Trump‘s claims that Tehran stopped the execution of 800 protest prisoners because of his intervention are “absolutely untrue.”

The judiciary’s Mizan news agency quoted Muhammad Movahedi as saying: “This claim is completely false. There is no such number, and the judiciary has not taken any decision like this.”

US President Donald Trump had said earlier that killings and executions in Iran had stopped, and that the implementation of 800 execution sentences that were planned had not taken place.
