Quali/San Jose Joseph, Gto.-The dance shown during the 2025 International Folk Mitote was a great approach bridge with the culture of France, Czech Republic, Colombia, Italy, Greece and Mexico.
But in addition, with the visit of the Greece ambassador, Nikolaos Kotrokois, the opportunity of a twinning for cultural and educational purposes between this municipality and a Greek city opens.
The folk mythote, in addition to being in the brothers municipalities of Tierra Blanca, San Luis de la Paz, Comonfort, Santiago Valley and San José de Iturbide, in the latter municipality also reached some communities such as Santa Anita and San Sebastián del Salitre, as well as from Villa El Capulín, whose inhabitants, including the municipal seat, could enjoy their presentations.
Mayor Edgar Manuel Montes de la Vega recognized all participants, including the Guanajuato state band. Also, to the entire Casa de Cultura team that was aware of the attention of the different delegations and groups.
For his part, Ambassador Nikolaos Kotrokois recognized the organizers of the cultural event and said that cultural ties between Greece and Mexico are shortly strengthened.
One of the key moments, was when the Greek group made everyone present with the traditional “Zorba El Griego”, forming a row in the main garden.
