Imacec October 2025: 2.2% Growth – Mining & Commerce Report

Economic activity registered a monthly increase of 0.7% and a seasonally adjusted annual advance of 2.5%.

According to preliminary information from the Central Bank, the Imacec for October 2025 grew 2.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The seasonally adjusted series recorded a increase of 0.7 percent compared to the previous month and an advance of 2.5 percent in twelve months. The month recorded the same number of business days as October 2024.

The production of goods fell 0.2 percent in annual terms, affected by the lower production of mining and other goods. In contrast, the industry grew due to greater food processing.

In seasonally adjusted terms, the production of goods increased 0.8 percent compared to the previous month, driven by mining and industry.

Trade

Commercial activity showed an increase of 8.1 percent in annual comparison. All its components showed positive results, highlighting wholesale and retail trade. Wholesale trade was driven by higher sales of machinery and equipment, as well as food. In retail trade, sales grew in large stores and specialized clothing establishments. In the automotive trade, vehicle sales and maintenance services increased.

The seasonally adjusted figures showed a growth of 0.1 percent compared to the previous month, influenced by retail trade and partially offset by wholesale trade.

Services

Los Services increased 2.5 percent year-over-year, driven mainly by personal servicesespecially health. To a lesser extent, transportation also contributed to the rise.
