In the upcoming season of the ILT20, Karthik could play with or against R Ashwin, his former India and Tamil Nadu team-mate. Ashwin has entered the ILT20 auction with the highest base price – the only player at the auction with a base price in six figures. Former India legspinner Piyush Chawla is also part of the auction shortlist, with a base price of USD 40,000.
