Meta Ai in WhatsApp: How to hide the function

WhatsApp has now activated its AI assistant Meta AI in Germany-but not everyone is thrilled. The question arises: How do I get rid of the chat bot again?
Meta Ai has recently been an integral part of WhatsApp – an unwanted guest for many users. The digital assistant automatically appears in the chat list, but cannot be completely deactivated. On request, a meta spokeswoman only said that Meta Ai was a completely optional service: “You have to carry out an action to chat with Meta Ai or call it up. It is only activated when you use it.”
Conversely, this also means that the blue circle – once it is there – cannot be completely removed. There are only a few simple steps with which you can at least ban chat with the AI from your field of vision.
Important: these measures do not delete Meta AI from WhatsApp – they only ensure that the chat with the AI optically disappears.
The AI assistant offers numerous functions-from simple answers to image generation. For example, Meta Ai answers questions by accessing current information online.
The introduction of the AI function causes discomfort for many users. A criticism is, for example, the unclear use of data. On this point, the company emphasizes that messages to friends and family members are still end-to-end. Interactions with Meta AI are obviously not.
There is also concern that META uses the information entered to further develop the AI without users have expressly approved this beforehand. Meta says: “Give Meta Ai no information that you want to have it.”
