The resin has a new sight: a lookout tower in the form of a huge witch. According to those responsible, he is the world’s largest witch broom at a height of 70 meters.
The building is located in the Thuringian Rothesütte (Nordhausen district) near the Lower Saxony border. Visitors should be able to look over Harzer forests, meadows and mountains from the viewing platform at a height of 44 meters – to the Wurmberg in the Goslar district and the Brocken. There are also two slides of different lengths of different lengths. According to the operator, one slide leads down rapidly over almost 100 meters, the other shows interactive effects when sliding down.
Three years of construction for tower in the Harz
As the district of Nordhausen announced, the construction of the more than 450 ton tower took a total of three years. Around 2,600 steel parts and around 22,000 screws were installed. According to the information, the project cost around 17 million euros. According to operators, the 24 -meter -long broomstick is not only a recognition feature of the tower, but also fulfills a technical purpose: signals can be sent and received. In the base of the tower, an experience world is intended to address the myth of the witches and the history of the region, according to the operators.
