The annual GroveFest, hosted by the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums, is scheduled for June 21, offering a range of engaging activities for families and nature enthusiasts. Attendees can interact with live animals,participate in nature-themed games,and create crafts with various regional organizations.
Taking place on the grounds of Spiegel Grove, a recognized arboretum and the estate of 19th U.S. President Rutherford and first lady Lucy Hayes, GroveFest is a celebration of nature and wildlife. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and admission is free, allowing visitors to drop in at their convenience.

Food options such as hot dogs and ice cream will be available, with donations accepted but not required.
Visitor parking is available off-site, except for vehicles with handicapped tags.
Parking Information
Street parking and parking in ProMedica Memorial Hospital’s parking lots at Buildings A and B, located at 605 Third Ave, will be available. Spiegel Grove is a short walk east of the hospital parking areas.
GroveFest provides an opportunity to appreciate nature at Spiegel Grove and learn about the Hayes’ dedication to the outdoors. The couple kept livestock and cultivated trees on their estate.
Lucy Hayes had a deep gratitude for nature, reflected in her choice of White House china, which featured images of American flora and fauna.
The Randolph J. & Estelle M.Dorn Foundation is the title sponsor for GroveFest,with additional support from The City of Fremont and ProMedica Memorial Hospital. Activity sponsors include Impact Credit union and Technique Roofing.
Hayes Presidential, the first presidential library in America and a precursor to the federal system, is partially funded by the state of Ohio and affiliated with the Ohio History Connection. It is located at Spiegel Grove on Buckland Avenue.
