František Nedvěd was one of the distinctive personalities of Czech country, folk and tramp songs. He also performed with his brother Jan, unforgettable became their concert in Prague’s Strahov, which was visited by more than 60,000 people. This Friday the musician would celebrate his 78th birthday. How did he live and what was his privacy?
The beloved and fateful place became the village of Luka pod Medník, part of Jílové near Prague, near the River Sázava. He used to go there as a small one, for his parents had a cottage in the forest.
“It was a wooden cabin where he went with his parents and siblings Honza and Lída.

The whole family gathered on Sunday coffee
When František Nedvěd took his love of life in 1972, he married the municipality of a prefabricated cottage, which was built by his father -in -law. He then had two beautiful villas built side by side. He lived with his wife in one, his son Vojtěch lived in the other. He recalled the house with three bedrooms, also had a billiard table, a gym and even a tennis court at the bottom of the garden.
“We regularly met for Christmas, Easter, birthday or just, for Sunday morning coffee at the ten o’clock on our terrace. Dad always could cement the family,” František Nedvěd Jr. recalled for CNN Prima News. Both houses now belong to his brother. My mother later moved to Prague.

František Nedvěd still owned a cottage in Jaroslavice near Hluboká nad Vltavou. “He used to go mostly to recharge himself, and because he was a passionate fisherman, the cottage was right by the river,” said the musician’s son František, who successfully continues his father’s footsteps.
He hoped he beat the cancer
Just two months before František Nedvěd, František Nedvěd spoke to the editor of CNN Prima News. He had demanding chemotherapy and radiation. He believed and hoped he had the worst behind. He was full of enthusiasm, taste for life and had a lot of plans.

Shortly thereafter, with his beloved wife Marie, he managed to restore her promise at the Old Town Hall in Prague after fifty years and began to perform again.
