Almost eight thousand medical care to the community carried out the University Integral Health Program, of the University of Carabobo, until September 2025. Coordinated by the Administrative Vice Chancellor, this plan constitutes, today, one of the most support tools for university professors.
Prof. José Ángel Ferreira reported that it is a solidarity effort carried out by the Vice -Rectorate, the directors and coordinators of the University Integral Health Program, which is composed of UAMI in Valencia and Sanauc in Maracay, the Laboratory of Cardiopulmonary Exploration “Dr. Vytautas subacius”, the Clinical Laboratory Analysis Center Specialties “Dr. Jacobo Domínguez Rock University of Carabobo); and the agreements with the Los Colorados Image Unit and the Teaching Unit of Medical Studies (UDEM) for ultrasound. Likewise, it incorporates the Program for your health of the Fopepediuc Foundation, which represents an aid to finance medical exams offered at UAMI headquarters to teachers who quote or quote Fopediuc, which also incorporates the different self -sustainable specialized social days.
The president of the Fopepediuc Foundation also offered details of the university integral health execution between the months of January to September 2025, when he channeled 8,639 medical care for the entire community, mostly to members of the university community: 3,002 teachers, 4,309 employees, 1,130 workers, their respective family charges, 64 survivors and external 299.
Ferreira explained that, in the case of your health, the exams that are performed in UAMI are suffered 50% by Fopediuc and the rest, by the teacher. This program takes place from mid -February until the end of November. The procedures carried out by your health program were: 133 of the cardiopulmonary laboratory; 102 ultrasound; 30 X -ray exams; 258 laboratories; 3 mammography and 34 dental procedures.
According to statistics, it is highlighted that the most demanded consultations were general medicine, followed by internal medicine, cardiology, traumatology and gynecology.
Five years without any contribution
José Ángel Ferreira stressed that the different university social forecast agencies have been very affected in recent years, to the point that both trade associations and savings banks and pension and retirement foundations have not received the corresponding contributions and retentions in the last five years.
