The qualifying test for the sprint race of the Formula 1 San Pablo Grand Prix delivered everything. Franco Colapinto finished 16th after Lance Stroll eliminated him at the last minute in SQ1, but his teammate Pierre Gasly was second with the Alpine, although he will start 13th.
The revelation in SQ2 was Fernando Alonso and he will accelerate from 5th place. The Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli surprised, who was better than his teammate George Russell and will start second after being between the McLarens of Lando Norris, who will start 1st, and Oscar Piastri, who will start 3rd on the main straight of Interlagos.
Red Bull’s Dutchman, Max Verstappen, started his fastest lap with a partial record, but made mistakes and finished in 6th place. Gabriel Bortoleto, the local driver, will start 14th in his Sauber.
Finally, the Ferraris did not do very well: Charles Leclerc came in 8th, and Lewis Hamilton came in 11th, without making it past the second part of qualifying for the sprint.
