Luís Montenegro spoke at the end of the European Council in Brussels to present to journalists the conclusions of the meeting of 27. One of the most important issues was the analysis of the economic future of the Union countries on the path to energy independence. On the agenda was also the situation in Ukraine, which the 27 see as dramatic.

The prime minister assured that there is a desire among European countries to continue providing financial assistance to Kiev, an intention communicated via videoconference with Volodymyr Zelensky.
