The fire that broke out this morning in a tanker truck on the expressway, in Caniço, towards Santa Cruz-Funchal, and which led to the closure of the expressway, has now been extinguished.
According to what was possible to determine, the flames appeared in the engine area of the heavy vehicle and were extinguished by eight firefighters from Santa Cruz.
There were no injuries reported, and at this point traffic has already started to circulate normally.
