A key component of this initiative is the modernization of the National Health Network.To date, 70 hospitals have been renovated and modernized, representing a ample investment in infrastructure and patient care.This ambitious project aims to address long-standing disparities in healthcare access across the nation.

Southern Region Prioritized After Decades of Neglect

The southern region of the Dominican Republic, historically underserved, is now a focal point of this healthcare revitalization. Director Mario noted the profound impact of the modernization efforts in this area, stating that the region is finaly receiving the attention it deserves after decades of neglect.

I do not get tired of saying that there is no province of the Dominican Republic that has not had a leap in health. The South, our South forgotten today is placed in a privileged place of health a region that had remained in oblivion for decades.

Inauguration of the Renovated Our Lady of Rule Hospital

The renovation of the Our lady of Rule Hospital in Baní exemplifies the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure. This modernized facility now boasts a range of specialized offices, including:

• 16 general offices
• 2 adolescent health offices
• 4 pediatric offices
• 1 gynecology office
• 1 sonography office
• Specialized units for HIV, tuberculosis, and dentistry

This thorough upgrade ensures that residents of Baní and the surrounding areas have access to a wider array of medical services.
