Each year, it convenes young minds from across the globe to engage in debates and negotiations mirroring those of the actual UN. the DBB students represented diverse nations, tackling complex subjects such as climate protection, human rights, and international security. Their primary objective was to collaboratively draft resolutions, mirroring the authentic negotiation processes of the United Nations.
This year’s NHSMUN comes at a crucial time. according to recent UN reports, global cooperation is more vital then ever to address challenges like climate change, which the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report
describes as unequivocally caused by human activities.
Similarly, ongoing conflicts and human rights violations underscore the urgent need for diplomatic solutions.

One of the student participants reflected on the profound impact of the experience, stating:
It was fascinating to experience how diplomacy works in practice. We had to put ourselves into the perspectives of other countries and find solutions that can be accepted by everyone.

A important highlight of the NHSMUN conference was an address by former US President Joe Biden. He personally welcomed the young delegates, emphasizing the critical importance of international cooperation in addressing global challenges.
