“Someone told me that I swear too much. Once you go to the gym, you’ll become a man. I’m sorry that my swearing makes you insecure. I’m sorry that you don’t have the manliness to handle my swearing. I’m sorry that you don’t have the swearing to think you’re bigger than me,” replied Daya.

Words of kindness are a firm declaration that no one else has the right to decide what one’s body should look like. Kindness reminds us that masculinity is not a license to abuse others, it is confidence in one’s own identity.

Daya is a person who has carved her own path in the field of fashion, modeling and styling. Daya, who completed her higher studies in fashion from Italy, is always experimenting with her dressing and make-up.

Manju Pillai is a mother who fully supports her daughter’s choices and decisions. Manju has often spoken proudly about Daya’s fashion experiments and studies abroad. This support may also have enabled her daughter to ignore toxic comments in cyberspace and respond appropriately.
