The open-world action-adventure game “Crimson Desert” by Pearl Abyss has been selected as a title expected to be released in 2026 as one of the PlayStation Store’s “Notable Game Titles Coming to PlayStation 5 in 2026.”
This time, Sony has released a total of 15 highly anticipated titles, including “Crimson Desert,” “Marvel’s Wolverine,” “Resident Evil: Requiem,” and “STAROS,” along with videos.
“Crimson Desert” has been exhibited at major game events around the world this year, starting with GDC (Game Developers Conference), Summer Game Fest (SGF), Bilibili World (BW), ChinaJoy (CJ), PAX East/West, and Tokyo Game Show (TGS), and has attracted a lot of attention from gamers around the world.
Last year, Pearl Abyss showed off a “boss battle build” focused on combat and action, and this year they debuted an open-world focused questline demo. Gamers, media, and influencers who participated in the trial gave high praise for the realistic gameplay, including the immersive open world, highly flexible interactions, and physical representation of objects.
“Crimson Desert” is scheduled to be released worldwide on March 20, 2026 (Japan time) for PC and consoles.
