Palmira, October 27, 2025. The 3×3 basketball of the 2025 Intercollegiate Games experienced an unforgettable day with the definition of its champions in the pre-youth and youth categories, both male and female. In the midst of an atmosphere full of emotion, the Casanare youth women’s and Meta youth men’s teams became national champions and obtained the honor of representing Colombia in the VII Central American and Caribbean School Sports Games Córdoba 2025.
The finals were marked by drama: each match was decided in the last seconds, unleashing the euphoria of the spectators who, with shouts and applause, encouraged their teams until the final whistle. It was a day where tension, talent and passion for the sport came together to celebrate the best of Colombian school basketball.
In the female youth category, Casanare took gold and Santander won silver, while Cundinamarca completed the podium with bronze. In the men’s youth team, Meta won gold against Antioquia, which took silver, and Bogotá took bronze.
Emotions were also on the surface in the junior categories. In women, the department of Santander was crowned champion, followed by Boyacá, who won a silver medal and Cundinamarca, bronze. In junior men’s youth, Santander once again climbed to the top of the podium, while Valle del Cauca won silver and Casanare won bronze.
Each match was a demonstration of commitment, strategy and sportsmanship. The young players left everything on the field, offering a show that reflects the purpose of the Intercollegiate Games: strengthening the values of sport, promoting healthy competition and projecting Colombian talent to international stages.
