Cantù Advances to Youth tricolor Final After Thrilling Semifinal Win

Buelli & Rasero Cantù will face L’Aquila Trento for teh youth tricolor title after overcoming a late surge from Reggio Emilia in the semifinal.

In a captivating semifinal match, Buelli & Rasero cantù secured a place in the youth tricolor final after a tense victory. Cantù had a notable led, 69-56, with just over seven minutes remaining, but Reggio Emilia mounted a comeback, going on a 2-19 run to take a 71-75 lead with five minutes left. The game went down to the wire, tied at 81-81, when Reggio Emilia missed their final shot. Malano intercepted the ball and drew a foul.

Cantù is set to face L’Aquila Trento at 6.30 pm. After already defeating trento in the group stage by 15 points, and with a team led by Captain Molteni, Cantù appears well-positioned to compete for the title. the team has demonstrated a variety of offensive and defensive strategies.

Trento’s primary threat is Niang, the younger brother of Saliou, who plays in Serie A. Niang is known for his talent and explosiveness.Cantù aims to capture a new youth title,seven years after their Under 16 victory in Procida.

The team coached by Bonassi delivered a strong performance against Reggio Emilia. Cantù started the game with a 23-16 lead in the first 10 minutes, extending it to +10 at 28-18. An injury to Gualdi allowed Reggio to close the gap to 32-31. Malano then scored to make it 42-37 at halftime. Cantù maintained their lead in the second half, reaching a +13 advantage at 63-54. Though, Reggio Emilia responded with a 0-15 run, taking a 69-71 lead. Cantù rallied to regain the lead at 81-78 with just over a minute remaining. After a three-point tie at 81-81, Cantù capitalized on Reggio’s missed opportunities to seal the victory.
