Call For Research On Liberation War And Mujibnagar…

by drbyos

Prominent people including brave freedom fighters of the country, university teachers have called for more extensive research on the correct history of the liberation war and the role of the Mujibnagar government in achieving independence. At the same time, they urged the students to know the correct history.

Speakers made this call at a discussion meeting organized by the Dhaka University branch of Sampriti Bangladesh at RC Majumder Arts Auditorium of Dhaka University (DU) on Monday (April 22) at 10 am.

In the meeting titled ‘Liberation War, Mujibnagar Government and Bangladesh of Harmony’, they said that the country would not have been independent if the Mujibnagar Government had not been formed. That Mujibnagar government was not based on any religion, but was formed by Bengalis. Now we are using religion politically.

Piyush Bandyopadhyay, convenor of Sampriti Bangladesh, who was present as the main discussant in the program, said that there has not been a complete research on the Liberation War or Mujibnagar. We need to work more on this. In history, March and December dominate, April lags behind. But December might not have come if there was no April (maybe the victory of December would not have come if the Mujibnagar government had not been formed).

Every year around 500 Norwegians with diabetes have to amputate a toe, foot or leg. In other words, this affects one or more people, every single day.

– I am frustrated and provoked, says Bård Hoksrud (Frp).

– Terrible

As spokesperson for health policy in the FRP, he has long been involved in this issue. He is frustrated because he believes the government is doing too little to reduce the high number of amputations.

– It is hopeless when the only thing they come up with is that they have extended the diabetes strategy and will present a new strategy during 2024. It is just talk, but very little actually happens, says Hoksrud.

CONCERNED: By working preventively, we can save millions of tax kroner, as well as prevent many personal ailments,

President Biden Shows Strong Support For Aid To…

Title: Biden Supports Aid Plan for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan Amid Bipartisan Efforts

As tensions escalate between Ukraine and Russia, President Joe Biden has thrown his support behind a proposal by Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson to provide much-needed aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. This crucial bipartisan move aims to secure $95 billion in funding for these US allies this week.

Facing a difficult decision between potential job loss or aiding Ukraine, Johnson made it clear that he would forge ahead despite growing resentment from his right flank. His aid proposals, which include $61 billion for Ukraine, $26 billion for Israel, and $8 billion for Indo-Pacific allies, closely align with the amounts already approved by the Senate.

A significant portion of the funding for Ukraine is allocated for the purchase of weapons and ammunition from US defense manufacturers. In addition, Johnson suggests that $9 billion in economic assistance for Kyiv be structured as forgivable loans, with increased oversight on military aid. However, even the decision to support Ukraine has sparked outrage from populist conservatives in the House, further amplifying the threat to remove Johnson from his speaker position.

Johnson, positioning himself as a “Reagan Republican,” emphasized the critical nature of the current situation.

On Tuesday, the European Parliament (EP) voted on the proposal for a directive on the right to repair. The board announcement according to the rules, the manufacturer’s obligations related to repairs are clarified, and they encourage us to extend the life of products by repairing them instead of replacing them.

Manufacturers must arrange for the repair of defective products in a timely manner and at an affordable price, and provide information about our right to repair. For products repaired within the warranty period, the warranty is extended by an additional year, encouraging us not to choose the replacement.

Manufacturers will be obliged to repair certain commonly used household appliances beyond the warranty period, if they are still in repairable condition, such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and even smartphones. (The list may expand over time.) It will be possible to request a replacement device for the duration of the repair, and if a specific item cannot be repaired, a refurbished one should be offered instead.
