After the first double match day of the new year, TV Marktheidenfeld gained a six-point lead over the relegation places in the 2nd Badminton Bundesliga South with home wins over BC Offenburg (4:3) and BSV Eggenstein/Leopoldshafen (7:0). Given that there are still nine games left to play, this is not the final solution, but it is an important step towards another year in the second division for the only Franconian team in the first or second league.
