by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

For its 16th edition from February 5 to 28, 2026, the Antigel Festival is rolling out a rich program in 26 municipalities and around fifty venues in the canton of Geneva, with forty concerts including The Divine Comedy, Odezenne, Miossec and Anna von Hausswolff, thirteen shows and six creations Made in Antigel.

In Geneva, the Antigel Festival programs 80 events and nearly 500 international and Swiss artists. Performing arts, music, sport: the event refuses terrestrial and mental borders.

“Since 2011, Antigel has been deployed everywhere and refuses the ‘mono-format’, because culture is multiple, moving and elusive”, noted Tuesday Thuy-San Dinh, co-director of the festival, on the occasion of the presentation of the 2026 edition. This will take over 50 locations in 26 municipalities in Geneva, Vaud and Ain (F).

Thirteen shows are on show with “artists who are not very present” and the desire to “bring new experiences to life”, explained Gabor Varga, performing arts programmer. The opening weekend will be intergenerational with “Copiar” by Animal Generation for children, “Cent temps” by Marie-Caroline Hominal with elderly people and “Murmuration”, by the Patin libre troupe, for families.

Several shows will be immersive, such as “Unearth” by Jefta van Dinther which will make you feel the choreographic and vocal vibrations of the performers for more than four hours or “Karaodance” by Collectif Es, which will take spectators into the party. To close the festival, flamenco star Israel Galvan and theater man Mohamed El Khatib will confront the traditionalism of their fathers.

Forty concerts

On the music side, forty concerts are scheduled between rock, electro, pop, rap, folk, blues. The Antigel Festival once again offers to “cross all music”, indicated its co-director Eric Linder. For the first time, a concert will be given in the UN Assembly Hall. This solo by pianist Sofiane Pamart is already sold out, as is the rap concert by L2B.

Among the headliners of this 16th edition are still the French Miossec, Odezenne and Sébastien Tellier, the American Jeff Tweedy, the Swede Anna von Hausswolff and the English The Divine Comedy and Baxter Dury. The Japanese Asuna Arashi will come with his hundred keyboards to the Museum of Art and History, while four concerts are scheduled in religious buildings, not forgetting a rock evening at the swimming pool with BDRMM and Wu Lyf.

Six creations Made in Antigel

Six original creations in unusual places labeled Made in Antigel have been announced. “Futuroparc” will propel spectators into 2053, in the public park which will replace M-Parc, “1213 Lumières” will immerse them in the history of Onex and they will look up at “En plein ciel” to see Nathan Polin walking on a slackline stretched between two buildings in Lignon, to the rhythm of the Young Gods drummer, Bernard Trontin.

On the sports side, Antigel plans its traditional night run at La Grange park and a yoga session. The Choreographic Ball will return for the third consecutive year. On this occasion, the Soulmagnet and Marchepied companies will teach two new choreographies to the participants.

As for the Grand Central, it will take over an industrial hall, in collaboration with Motel Campo, for six festive weekends, from January 31 to March 7. Located between Lancy-Bachet station and the Praille stadium, the festive venue will be dedicated to electronic and urban music.
