Following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI 171 in Ahmedabad, the government has formed a high-level committee too investigate the incident. the ministry of Civil Aviation announced the formation of this multi-departmental committee to thoroughly examine the causes of the crash, which resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries.

The investigative panel will assess existing standard operating procedures (SOP) and security guidelines to determine what led to the accident. According to the ministry, the committee’s primary objective is to develop a robust framework to prevent similar aviation accidents in the future.

Black Box Recovered

The Black Box from the Air India flight has been recovered from the roof of a Medical College hostel building near the crash site. This discovery is considered crucial for the ongoing investigation by the Aircraft Accident Bureau (AAIB).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the crash site and met with injured survivors in Ahmedabad. A team of 70-80 doctors is conducting post-mortem examinations.So far, five victims have been identified, and their bodies have been released to their families.
