An Air India plane crashed near an airport in Ahmedabad, India, on Thursday, according to local reports [[2]]. The number of fatalities is currently unknown.

Air India, the contry’s flagship carrier, acknowledged the incident in a post on X, stating that Flight 171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick had been “involved in an incident.”

The airline added that it was “ascertaining the details and will share further updates at the earliest.”
